2008 ECBH Wellness Recovery Conference
Like the sun
coming up in the east, Recovery-Based and Peer-Supported mental health and substance abuse services and supports are rising
- and shining - in eastern North Carolina!
To demonstrate this, East Carolina Behavioral Health (ECBH) invites you to join us for our 2nd Annual ECBH Wellness Recovery Conference & Expo, May 1, 2008, Greenville Convention Center,
Greenville, NC.
Our
theme for this year’s conference is “Recovery: The Power within US!” More and more people affected by
mental health and substance abuse struggles are learning they can change their
lives for the better through a focus on wellness, recovery, and peer support. The power is within us -
as individuals, as families, as communities, and as systems working together.
Highlights of this year's conference include:
Conference
seating for 800-1,000 attendees from throughout eastern North Carolina and beyond;
First
ever "This Person" Awards Ceremony recognizing peer-nominated recipients who have made positive difference in a peer's life.
A
target audience including individuals and families, peer supporters, behavioral health practitioners, social workers, educators
and students, health and human service professionals, self-help and advocacy groups, law enforcement personnel, representatives
from faith-based and community organizations, business leaders, and concerned citizens.
