Always bear in mind that your own resolution to succeed
is more important than any one thing.
~ Abraham Lincoln

Recovery from struggles with mental illness, substance abuse, or other life challenges is possible and "We're the Evidence!"

We Are Peers

  • We are a community of individuals who have, or have had, life struggles
  • We show each other mutual respect
  • We are equals - no one of us has more power than anyone else

Being Peer Means

  • We are commited to working on our own wellness and recovery
  • We meet each other "where we are"
  • We support each other genuinely and non-judgementally
  • We plan what we do for ourselves and are thoughtful in supporting others
  • We avoid rumors and gossip
  • We "take it to the person" - not to others - when we have an issue with someone
